Mark Goldberg has more than thirty years experience in real estate development selecting sites, acquiring land, supervising design and construction, leasing, brokerage and property management. Relationships with top retailers such as King Soopers, Albertsons, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Kohls and Lowes have led to shopping centers anchored by these and other nationally recognized merchants. He has been a leader in the International Council of Shopping Centers, serving two terms as Director of the Rocky Mountain Region and one as Western Division Governmental Affairs Chairman. Mr. Goldberg has taught a class at the University of Colorado Graduate School in Real Estate Development. His hands-on approach to managing the firm’s portfolio has earned the confidence of clients, as well as the respect of government officials, who are playing an increasingly important role in approving and financing developments. Matt Godley is Vice President of Goldberg Properties Inc. With over 10 years of commercial real estate and finance experience, Matt’s background provides a diverse skill set that allows him to add value in many different facets of the property life cycle.
Since joining Goldberg Properties, Inc. in July 2011, Matt has overseen Goldberg’s active development projects and managed various receivership assets. He is also Argus Software Certified and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Matt’s prior real estate experience includes work as an asset/project manager for the University of Colorado Real Estate Foundation (“CUREF”) and as a land superintendent for Pulte Homes. While at CUREF, he managed a real estate portfolio of mixed asset types and led the Investment Committee in proposing and approving new real estate investments. At Pulte, Matt managed the due diligence/acquisition process and supervised the land development of master-planned communities throughout southwest Florida.
Matt’s experience outside the real estate industry consists of him working in the Corporate Finance Group at Qwest Communications and for two large commercial banks in the Southeast United States. While at Qwest, he worked closely with the executive team in developing various forecasting tools to aid in the planning, budgeting and reporting processes. During his stint in the banking industry, Matt held positions in investment management and branch management at Northern Trust and SunTrust, respectively.
Matt received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from the University of Florida and his Master of Business Administration degree, with concentrations in finance and real estate, from the University of Colorado at Boulder. [Contact]
